British lawyer Dr. Jason McCue notes that the announcement of the UK Foreign secretary, James Cleverly, regarding targeted sanctions against Russian officials involved in the ‘insidious’ forced deportation of Ukrainian children is as welcome and important as it is overdue.
According to Dr. Jason McCue, the kidnapping and indoctrination of children is part of Russia’s clear mission from the start of the war to ‘erase Ukrainian culture and national identity’ since the beginning of the war.
This is a diplomatic way of calling Russia’s mission what it is, genocide. Sanctions, words and judicial definitions matter.
