During the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck four areas where the enemy's personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated. Also, Ukraine's air defence destroyed one Kh-59 missile.

What is happening in different parts of the front

Operational information regarding the Russian invasion as of 06:00 on January 15, 2024, was provided by the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

During the past day, 94 combat clashes took place.

In total, the enemy carried out seven missiles and 60 air strikes. The enemy carried out 64 attacks from MLRS on the positions of our troops and populated areas. There are dead and wounded among the civilian population after the Russian terrorist attacks. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Vilkhuvatka and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region; Bilogorivka, Pishchane, Serebryansk forestry of the Luhansk region; Kolodyazi, Vesele, Bohdanivka, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Volodymyrivka of the Donetsk region were under the airstrikes.

More than 140 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

The operational situation remains unchanged in the area of responsibility of the OSTG "North" in Volyn and Polisia's directions.

In the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active diversionary activities to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the zone of responsibility of the OSTG "Khortytsia" in the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy attacks in the Synkivka and Petropavlivka areas of the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, our defenders repulsed 14 enemy attacks near Makiivka, Bilogorivka, Luhansk region, and Verkhnokamyansky in the Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled five attacks by the occupiers near Klishchiivka and Andriivka, Donetsk region.

In the zone of OSTG "Tavriya" responsibility in the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders restrained the enemy, who did not stop trying to surround Avdiivka. Our soldiers firmly hold the defence, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. Thus, during the past day, the Defense Forces repelled 11 enemy attacks in the Novobakhmutivka, Stepove and Avdiivka districts and another 14 attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.

In the Mariinka direction, our defenders continue to hold back the enemy near Krasnohorivka, Mariinka and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region, where 16 attacks were repulsed.

The enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions in Shakhtarsk's direction.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian defenders repulsed ten enemy attacks near Krasne, west of Verbove and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.

New AFU's successes in the war against the Russian army

In the area of OSTG "Odesa" responsibility in the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces will continue measures to expand the foothold. Despite significant losses, the occupiers do not stop trying to knock our units out of their positions. During the past day, the enemy carried out seven unsuccessful assaults on the positions of the Ukrainian defenders.

At the same time, our soldiers continue to actively inflict losses in personnel and equipment on the occupying troops, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
