What is happening in different parts of the front
The General Staff of the Armed Forces provided operational information regarding the Russian invasion as of 18.00 on 01/31/2024.
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
During the day, 52 combat clashes took place.
Also, the enemy launched seven missiles and 65 air strikes. The enemy carried out 59 MLRS strikes at the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, there are wounded among the civilian population. Residential private and multi-apartment buildings and other civil infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
On Volyn and Polisia's directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.
On the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Ulytsia and Seredyna-Buda settlements of the Sumy region. More than 40 settlements were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Kupiansk direction, our defenders repelled seven attacks near Synkivka of the Kharkiv region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defence of our troops. The occupiers also carried out airstrikes in the districts of Kislivka, Kharkiv region, and Nadia of the Luhansk region. About 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled nine attacks near Terny, Yampolivka, and Torske of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully tried to break through the defence of our troops. The enemy carried out airstrikes on Bilogorivka and Serebryansk Forestry of Luhansk Oblast.
In the direction of Bakhmut, the Defense Forces repelled four attacks near Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka of the Donetsk region, where the occupiers unsuccessfully tried to improve their tactical position. The enemy carried out an airstrike in the New York area of the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled eight attacks in the Avdiivka area and another six attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully tried to break through the defences of our troops. The enemy also carried out airstrikes in the areas of Oleksandropol and Ocheretyne settlements of the Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Mariinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the Novomykhailivka area of the Donetsk region. Here, the invaders, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully tried to improve their tactical position six times. Georgiivka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, and Kostyantynivka came under artillery and mortar fire from the occupiers.
The enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions in Shakhtarsk's direction. He carried out airstrikes in the areas of Vodyane, Urozhaine and Staromayorske settlements of the Donetsk region. About ten settlements were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Defense Forces repelled four enemy attacks north of Pryiutne and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the Biloghirya and Robotyne settlements of the Zaporizhzhia region. About 20 settlements were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Kherson direction, the regional centre of the Kherson region and Ochakiv of the Mykolaiv region were hit by enemy artillery fire. The occupiers carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Krynky, Beryslav, Novoberyslav, Shlyakhove, and Chervonyi Maiak of the Kherson region. New AFU's successes in the war against the Russian army
During the day, the Air Force of the Defense Forces struck 14 areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration and one enemy anti-aircraft missile system.
Also, the air defence of Ukraine destroyed a Kh-59 guided air missile.
Missile forces units struck five artillery systems and four enemy anti-aircraft defences.
