Over the past day, 95 combat engagements took place. The Russian military conducted about 30 air strikes against Ukraine. Ukrainian defence forces shot down 14 aggressor cruise missiles.
Russian attacks
In total, the enemy launched 28 missile and 27 air strikes, fired 59 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas.
Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private homes and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
Air strikes hit Petropavlivka, Polohy, Ivanivka, Pershotravneve in the Kharkiv region; Nadiya, Nevske, Serebryanka forestry in the Luhansk region; Kolodyazi, Serebryanka, Chasiv Yar, Avdiivka, Lastochkino in the Donetsk region.
More than 100 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
The situation at the frontline
The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissya sectors remains unchanged.
On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of our troops in threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 11 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka, north-east of Petropavlivka, and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region.
In the Lymansky sector, the AFU repelled an enemy attack near Spirne, the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut sector, our troops repelled 13 enemy attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian troops continue offensive operations south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy and consolidating their positions.
In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who keeps trying to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. Ukrainian defence forces successfully repelled 35 enemy attacks in the areas east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, Tonenke and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region.
In the Mariinsky sector, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobyeda and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region, where our defenders repelled 24 attacks.
In the Shakhtarsky and Zaporizhzhia sectors, the Defense Forces repelled all attacks by the enemy, who were trying to regain lost ground in the areas west of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Melitopol sector, the AFU continue to inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy along the entire frontline.
In the Kherson sector, the AFU continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, conducting counter-battery combat and delivering fire attacks on the enemy's rear.
Losses of the enemy
The missile forces struck 6 places of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as an enemy electronic warfare station.
Ukrainian air defence forces destroyed 14 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles (called as-23a KODIAK / AS-15 Kent cruise missiles in NATO countries list).
