With the support of aviation, the Russian invaders tried to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian military in the Avdiivka direction, but without success.
The attacks of Russians
The enemy launched five missile strikes, and 44 air strikes fired 37 rounds of anti-aircraft fire at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. The Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine, using the Kh-59 guided missile and 10 Shahed-136/131 type UAVs. Six enemy drones and the Kh-59 guided missile were destroyed.
As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
The situation at the front
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult. During the day, 61 combat clashes took place.
In Volyn and Polissia's directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There were no signs of the formation of offensive groups. Specific units of the Armed Forces of Belarus perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.
In the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and intelligence activities, attacks populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.
About 20 settlements, including Klyusy, Progres, and Serhiivske of the Chernihiv region, were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks; Atynske, Myropilske, Grabovske, Porozok, Popivka of the Sumy region; Chervona Zorya, Pletenivka, Krasne Pershe of the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled ten enemy attacks in the Sinkivka and Petropavlivka districts of the Kharkiv region. The enemy carried out airstrikes on the settlements of Petropavlivka, Pishchane of the Kharkiv re,gion and Novoyehorivka of the Luhansk region. About ten settlements in the Kharkiv region, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, and Berestov, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces of Serebryan Forestry, Bilogorivka of the Luhansk Region, and Terny of the Donetsk Region repelled eight enemy attacks. With the support of aviation, we tried to dislodge our units from the occupied borders. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Spirne and Viymka in the Donetsk region.
About ten settlements were affected by enemy artillery and mortar attacks, among them Nevske, Bilogorivka of Luhansk region and Yampolivka, Torske, Serebryanka, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka of Donetsk region.
In the direction of Bakhmut, the Defense Forces repelled nine enemy attacks in the Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka and Andriivka districts of the Donetsk region. The enemy carried out an airstrike in the area of the Chasiv Yar settlement of the Donetsk region. About 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Orihovo-Vasylivka, Markove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, and New York of the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian soldiers in the areas east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepovoy, Avdiyvka, and Sevierne of the Donetsk region repelled 15 enemy attacks, which unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of our troops with the support of aviation. The enemy also carried out an airstrike in the area of the Oleksandropil settlement of the Donetsk region. About 15 settlements, including Ocheretyne, Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Karlivka, Netaylove, and Pervomaiske of the Donetsk region, were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Mariinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy, who, with the support of aviation, carried out 14 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of our defenders in the Mariinka and Novomykhailivka districts of the Donetsk region. Such settlements of the Donetsk region as Krasnohorivka, Georgiivka, Maryinka, Pobyeda, Paraskoviivka, and Novomykhailivka came under artillery and mortar fire from the occupiers.
The enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions in the Shakhtarsk direction. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Urozhane and Staromayorske settlements of the Donetsk region. About ten settlements, including Vodyane, Urozhaine, Staromayorske, and Rivnopil of the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Defense Forces in the Robotyne region of the Zaporizhzhia region repelled all attacks by the enemy, who tried to restore the lost position. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the Novodarivka and Kamianske regions of the Zaporizhzhia region. About 20 settlements were hit by artillery and mortar attacks, including Levadne, Malynivka, Zaliznychne, Robotyne, Pyatikhatky, and Kamianske of the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, such settlements as Inzhenerne, Antonivka, Dniprovske, Novodmytrivka of the Kherson region and the city of Kherson, as well as Ochakiv of the Mykolaiv region, were hit by enemy artillery fire.
The offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The Defense Forces will continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro in the Kherson region. They continue to inflict fire damage on the enemy.
Russian losses
During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces made ten strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment and two on the enemy's air missile systems.
Units of the missile forces inflicted damage on three areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, two air missile systems and seven enemy artillery units.
