NATO believes that Ukraine will not be able to displace all Russian troops by the end of 2024

According to one of the NATO officials, on condition of anonymity, Ukraine will probably not be able to expel all Russian troops from its territory by the end of 2024.

At the same time, as the publication notes, Western allies of Ukraine assure that financial and military support will not decrease despite the war in the Middle East.

However, securing arms orders, especially missiles and ammunition, with the defense industry and promoting faster production "is not going quite as planned," three NATO diplomats said.

Military aid to Ukraine

It should be noted that earlier, the chief of the Ukrainian MFA, Dmytro Kuleba, stated that the European Union and NATO need to cooperate on the issue of arms production to meet Ukraine's needs.

At the beginning of May, the Council of the European Union decided to aid Ukraine with one billion euros for the joint procurement of ammunition and missiles. It was planned that European countries would provide Ukraine with one million shells.

Bloomberg later wrote that the EU is falling behind on its plan to provide Ukraine with one million artillery shells in March 2024. So far, it is only 30% completed.

It was also reported that against the background of fears in the EU about falling behind the schedule of supplying artillery shells to Ukraine, the option that they will be purchased in countries not in the European Union is allowed.

Yesterday, the chief of British diplomacy, David Cameron, said that NATO member countries should convince arms production companies to increase the production volume of their products to meet Ukraine's needs within the next two years.
