The enemy has approximately the same number of personnel. He uses the technique from deep, that is, he tries not to keep it on the front line, because it is almost immediately destroyed by our soldiers. And the infantry is hiding in the trenches. About 40,000 are operating in the Avdiivka direction, the OSTG "Tavria" spokesman, Oleksandr Shtupun, said.
According to his words, the enemy lost 437 people and 60 units of military equipment during 24 hours in the Tavria direction. Among the losses of the occupiers were a tank, 11 armoured vehicles, and ten artillery systems. The AFU also managed to hit the Russian anti-aircraft warfare system "TOR".
Shtupun added that the Russian invaders continue to use drones at the front actively. The Ukrainian defenders destroyed 27 enemy drones in the previous 24 hours.
Battles for Avdiivka
Since the beginning of October, Russian soldiers have continued active assaults in the Avdiivka region. They are trying to surround the city and occupy it.
At the same time, the Ukrainian defenders are holding the defence and inflicting huge losses on the enemy. As of mid-December, the United States announced that the Russians had lost about 13,000 soldiers near Avdiivka in 2 months.
