What is happening in different parts of the front
The General Staff of the Armed Forces provided operational information regarding the Russian invasion as of 18.00 on 06.12.2023.
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
During the day, 83 combat clashes took place.
The enemy launched two rockets and 71 air strikes and fired 65 rocket salvo fire strikes at the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
In Volyn and Polisia's directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There were no signs of the formation of offensive groups. Specific units of the Armed Forces of Belarus perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and intelligence activities, attacks populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine. The enemy launched an airstrike in the Krasnyi Khutir area of the Chernihiv region. About 40 settlements, including Plohiv, Mykhalchyna Sloboda of Chernihiv region, were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks; Chuykivka, Progress, Baranivka of Sumy region; Zemlyanki, Krugle, Okhrimivka, Bochkove in the Kharkiv region.
In the direction of Kupiansk, Ukrainian defenders repelled six enemy attacks in the Sinkivka area of the Kharkiv region. The enemy carried out airstrikes on Synkivka, Ivanivka, and Pischane of the Kharkiv region. About ten settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Fygolivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Tabaivka, Krokhmalne, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled six attacks by the enemy, who, with the support of aviation, tried to dislodge our units from the occupied lines in Terny, Vesele, and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region. In addition, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Bilogorivka in the Luhansk region and Spirne in the Donetsk region. About 15 settlements were affected by enemy artillery and mortar shelling, among them Makiivka, Nevske, Bilogorivka of Luhansk Oblast and Yampolivka, Torske, Dibrova of Donetsk Oblast.
In the direction of Bakhmut, the Defense Forces repelled ten enemy attacks in the Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka and Andriivka districts of the Donetsk region. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the Ivanivskyi, Klishchiivka and Stupochky districts of the Donetsk region. About 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Minkivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, and Ozaryanivka of the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 29 enemy attacks in the areas east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiyvka, Sieverne, Tonenke, and Pervomaiske of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully tried to break through the defenses of our troops. The enemy also carried out an airstrike in the Oleksandropil district of the Donetsk region.
More than 15 settlements, including Novokalynove, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Netaylove, and Nevelske of the Donetsk region, were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Mariinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in Krasnohorivka, Maryinka and Novomykhailivka districts of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, carried out 13 attacks on the positions of our defenders. Such settlements of the Donetsk region as Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Georgiivka, Pobieda, Paraskoviivka, and Katerynivka came under artillery and mortar fire from the occupiers.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, our defenders repelled an enemy attack in the Novodonetsk district of the Donetsk region. The enemy carried out an airstrike in the areas of Urozhaine, Staromayorske, and Rivnopil settlements of the Donetsk region. About 15 settlements, including Vodyane, Vugledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, and Urozhaine of the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the defense forces repelled five enemy attacks west of Verbove and Robotyne of the Zaporizhzhia region. Artillery and mortar attacks, including Charivne, Novodanylivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, Kamianske, and Plavni of the Zaporizhzhia region, hit more than 25 settlements.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the area of the settlement of Krynky, Kherson region. Thcitiesty of Kherson and Veletenske of the Mykolaiv region were hit by artillery fire from the enemy.

During the day, the aviation of the Defense forces carried out 11 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, one on the command post and three on the enemy's air missile systems.
Units of the missile forces damaged one helicopter, one air missile system, three areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, one ammunition warehouse and two artillery pieces of the enemy.
