Denmark will support Ukraine for €1 billion euros

The Danish government has decided to provide Ukraine with a new support package in the total amount of 1 billion euros.

The Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, announced this, Sky News reports.

The head of the Danish government announced another aid package for Ukraine today, December 13, at a press conference in Oslo.

The official noted that on December 14, she will present a new support package to her parliament.

The corresponding statement was made against the background of the visit of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, to the capital of Norway for a meeting with the leaders of Northern European countries.

What help Ukraine will receive from Denmark

On October 26, the Danish government officially announced the provision of a new package of military aid to our country in the amount of 3.7 billion Danish kroner, or about 520 million dollars.

It was formed after a meeting between the defence ministers of Denmark and Ukraine.

This package will include:

  • tanks T-72EA, BMP-2;

  • artillery ammunition;

  • drones;

  • small arms;

  • armoured repair and evacuation vehicles.

According to the Danish authorities, this equipment and ammunition will be crucial for the Armed Forces directly on the battlefield.

The head of the country's Ministry of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen drew attention to the fact that the aid package was formed after a meeting with his Ukrainian colleague Rustem Umyerov.

Today's aid confirms that Ukraine can count on Denmark's unwavering support in its fight for freedom... It also sends an important signal to both Ukraine and Russia that we are not losing focus, even though much of the world's attention is focused on Israel these days and Palestine, he said.
