What is happening in different parts of the front
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided operational information regarding the Russian invasion as of 18.00 on 02/23/2024.
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
During the day, 58 combat clashes took place.
In total, the enemy launched five missiles and made 60 air strikes. Russians also made 62 attacks with MLRS on the positions of our troops and populated areas.
On Volyn and Polisia's directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.
About 10 settlements were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire in the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched one attack on our troops' positions in the Synkivka area in the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, our soldiers repelled one enemy attack in the area of Terny settlement of the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defence of our troops.
In the Bakhmut direction, the defence forces repelled six enemy attacks in the Ivanivske settlement of the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to improve its tactical position.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled nine enemy attacks in the Donetsk region's Lastochkyne, Sieverne, and Pervomaiske settlements.
In the Mariinka direction, the defence forces continued to hold back the enemy in the areas of settlements of Novomykhailivka and Pobieda of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried 31 times to break through the defence of our troops, without success.
In the Novopavlivsk’s direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.
At Zaporizhzhia's direction, the defence forces repelled one enemy attack in the Robotyne region of Zaporizhzhia.
In Kherson's direction, the enemy does not give up its intention to knock out our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. During 24 hrs, seven attempts were made to storm the positions of our troops.

During the day, AFU aviation struck six areas of personnel concentration and three enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.
AFU missile force units damaged one control point, three artillery systems, one ammunition warehouse, and two radars of the enemy's Tor air defence system.
