What is happening in different parts of the front
The Russian invaders are not giving up their intention to knock out our units from the footholds on the left bank of the Dnieper.
Thus, during the day, the enemy carried out 11 unsuccessful assaults, but the Armed Forces continue to hold their positions and inflict significant losses on the occupiers.
There were 49 combat engagements in the frontline over the last day.
In total, the enemy launched 3 missile and 36 air strikes, fired 31 multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas.
The Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine, firing Kh-59 guided missiles at the cities of Dnipro and Odesa, as well as an Iskander missile at Zaporizhzhia. The Kh-59 guided missile was destroyed by Ukrainian air defence forces.
Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Private residential and apartment buildings, hospitals, and other civilian and industrial infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
In the Volyn and Poliske directions, The operational situation has not changed significantly. There are no signs of the formation of offensive groups. Some units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are performing military trainings in the areas bordering Ukraine.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions , the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and intelligence activities, attacks populated areas from the territory of Russia, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Arkhypivka in the Chernihiv region, and Tovstodubovo in the Sumy region. More than 40 settlements, including Liskivshchyna, Myhachyna Sloboda, and Gremyach of Chernihiv region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling; Fotovyzh, Volfine, Oleksandrivka in the Sumy region; Bochkove, Krasne Pershe in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupyan direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight enemy attacks near Synkivka in the Kharkiv region. The enemy also carried out air strikes near Pishchane in the Kharkiv region and Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka and Nadiya in the Luhansk region. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestivka in the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defence forces repelled two enemy attacks near Makiivka in the Luhansk region. Occupiers launched an air strike near Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. More than 10 localities suffered from enemy artillery and mortar attacks, including Nevsky in the Luhansk region and Torske, Serebryanka, Spirne, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Our soldiers repelled 9 enemy attacks in Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka and Andriivka districts of Donetsk region, where the enemy was trying to regain lost positions. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Kalynivka, Klishchyiika, Andriivka and Stupochki in the Donetsk Oblast region.
In the Avdiyivka direction, Our defenders repelled 4 enemy attacks near Stepove and Avdiivka and 13 more near Pervomaisk and Nevelske in the Donetsk region. Here, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to improve the tactical situation with the support of aviation. About 10 localities, including Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Mariinsky direction, the defence forces continue to hold back the enemy in Krasnohorivka, Maryinka and Novomykhailivka districts of Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, launched 7 unsuccessful attacks. Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Kurakhove, Pobyeda, Yelyzavetivka and Katerynivka came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, Our defenders repelled two enemy attacks near Pryiutne in the Zaporizhzhia region. About 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva and Urozhaine in the Donetsk Oblast region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the defence forces repelled an enemy attack east of Kopani in the Zaporizhzhia region. More than 25 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Poltavka, Luhivske, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Shcherbaky, Kamyanske and Plavni in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the area of responsibility of the Odesa anti-aircraft missile unit, in the Kherson sector, Tyahynky, Ivanivka, Antonivka and Kherson came under enemy artillery fire. The enemy also carried out air strikes in Tyahynky and Kherson.
