How IT companies can safely work with sole proprietors
First of all, it is important to check all the facts about the individual entrepreneur to avoid making mistakes:
Registration data. Check whether the individual entrepreneur is registered, has current KVEDs, and is not in a state of suspension.
Tax status. Tax group is important. The presence or absence of tax debt is even more important, as it can affect your cooperation.
Court decisions. Review court proceedings, especially those related to taxes, debts, fraud, or business disputes. Distinguish (yes or no) whether the disputes concern the counterparty as a sole proprietorship or as an individual.
Sanctions and other risks. This happens infrequently, but still... Make sure that the contractor is not under sanctions, has no ties to sanctioned individuals, and does not appear in mentions of reputational or criminal risks.
