Russia continues to construct the “Shahed” factory in the Republic of Tatarstan. It is confirmed by satellite images.

Russia continues the construction of the factory for the production of “Shahed” drones

According to published information, the “Alabuga” plant established the production of drones with the help of specialists from Iran. At the same time, with the approach of winter, the production of drones is accelerating. This may indicate that the Russian Federation plans to increase the number of attacks on Ukraine.

In particular, two buildings of the plant have undergone changes since the beginning of the year and expanded. Now they correspond to the dimensions of the five motorized test chambers for the production of Shahed-136, included in the building scheme. They are also connected by a corridor.

However, it is interesting that the corridor does not connect these two buildings, but probably leads from the southern third of building 8.2 to the southern third of building 8.1. The corridor then leads upwards along the west side of building 8.1 to the upper third.

Judging from the pictures and plans of the buildings, at least the top floor of building 8.1 is intended for Shahed production. In addition, “Alabuga” is establishing physical security perimeters around buildings 8.1 and 8.2. Where is the factory located?

The plant is located 800 km east of Moscow in the Republic of Tatarstan. JSC “Alabuga” is 66 percent owned by the federal government and 34 percent by the republic.

Cooperation between Iran and the Russian Federation

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation has enlisted the help of Iran in the supply of Shahed-type kamikaze drones. The enemy regularly uses the aforementioned UAVs to attack the military and civilian infrastructure of Ukraine. Due to assistance from the Kremlin, numerous sanctions were accepted against Tehran.

In particular, in June, the coordinator of the US National Security Council at the White House, John Kirby, said that Iran was actively involved in the construction of the Shahed factory in Russia.
