Israel

Israeli intelligence services said that Hamas planned to carry out a series of attacks on Jewish and Israeli targets in Europe.

Israel revealed Hamas plans to carry out attacks in Europe

According to the Israeli Prime Minister's Office statement, the Foreign Intelligence Service ("Mossad") and the Israel Security Agency ("Shin Bet"), in cooperation with foreign partners, were able to establish a "comprehensive picture of Hamas terrorist activities" in and beyond Israel".

Including information about the intention to attack the Israeli embassy in Sweden with the help of drones and the use of criminal elements in Europe, the message says.

Hamas cells in Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands were arrested in December on suspicion of plotting to attack Jewish targets in Europe.

Danish police said on December 12 that seven people suspected of planning a terrorist attack, which law enforcement foiled in December, had ties to Hamas.

The HAMAS is relentlessly and tirelessly working to expand its deadly operations to Europe, and thus poses a threat to the internal security of these countries, the head of the Israeli government Benjamin Netanyahu said.

Israel's war with Hamas

Hamas militants invaded Israel on October 7. Terrorists began to kill and kidnap both military and civilian people. Afterwards, Jerusalem announced Operation Swords of Iron and shelled terrorist positions in the Gaza Strip.

On November 24, a temporary ceasefire began between Jerusalem and the militants for the release of prisoners, and then Qatar acted as a mediator. Already on December 1, hostilities were resumed, as Israel claims, due to a Hamas violation of the ceasefire terms.

On December 20, Israel offered the Palestinians to conclude a ceasefire for a week. But Hamas rejected the offer.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu named three conditions that must be met for the end of the war against the Palestinian militants Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
