North Korea's military aid to Russia continues

North Korea has recently transferred a new batch of weapons to Russia for the war against Ukraine. More than a thousand containers of ammunition were transported by sea.

This was stated by US Ambassador to NATO Julian Smith during a briefing.

According to her, the United States has information that North Korea has provided the aggressor country with more than a thousand containers of weapons and ammunition. They were transported from the DPRK to Russia by ship.

According to Smith, in exchange for military assistance, Pyongyang wants to receive advanced military technology from Moscow, possibly fighter jets, surface-to-air missiles, armoured vehicles, ballistic missile production equipment or similar items.

The expansion of the military partnership between the DPRK and Russia does fundamentally undermine regional stability, undermines international stability, and certainly undermines the global non-proliferation regime, the US Ambassador stressed.

Cooperation between the DPRK and Russia

Since the beginning of the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Kremlin has repeatedly asked North Korea to provide shells. After a while, the DPRK sent more than 1 million artillery shells to Russia.

According to Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the DPRK will not be able to constantly supply Russia in a war against our country.

US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said the United States is concerned about military cooperation between Russia and North Korea.

Recently, according to US intelligence, it became known that Russian ships have been regularly visiting the North Korean port of Rason since August. The DPRK has sent about 2,000 containers of weapons to Russia.
