What is happening in different parts of the front
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided operational information regarding the Russian invasion as of 6:00 p.m. on November 28, 2023.
During the day, 56 combat clashes took place.
The enemy launched 11 rockets and 35 air strikes and fired 42 rocket fire strikes by MLRS at the positions of our troops and populated areas.
Also, the Russian Federation once again attacked Ukraine with an attack UAV of the Shahed-136/131 type, and our defenders destroyed all of them.
As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There were no signs of the formation of offensive groups. Specific units of the Armed Forces of Belarus perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and intelligence activities, attacks populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine. About 15 settlements were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Yeline in Chernihiv region; Seredyna-Buda, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Basivka, Stepok, Grabovske, Popivka of the Sumy region; Graniv, Starytsa, Pletenivka, Zemlianka of the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assaults near Synkivka and Petropavlivka of the Kharkiv region, where the Defense Forces repelled four attacks — and carried out airstrikes near Ivanivka and Stepova-Novoselyvka, Kharkiv region. About ten settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, particularly Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove of the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assaults in the Terny settlement of the Donetsk region, where defense forces repelled three attacks. He carried out an airstrike in the area of the Spirne settlement of the Donetsk region. More than ten settlements were affected by enemy artillery and mortar shelling, among them Nevske, Serebryansk Forestry of Luhansk Oblast and Torske, Serebryanka, Spirne, Rozdolivka of Donetsk Oblast.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy carried out assaults in the Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, Andriivka and North Donetsk regions, where the defense forces repelled 16 attacks. He carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Chasiv Yar and Toretsk of the Donetsk region. About ten settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Markove, Bohdanivka, Ivanovske, Klishchiivka, and New York of the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assaults near Stepove, Avdiivka, south of Tonenke, Pervomaiske of the Donetsk region, where the Defense Forces repulsed 15 attacks. About 15 settlements, including Sukha Balka, Ocheretyne, Stepove, Avdiivka, Netaylove, and Nevelske of the Donetsk region, were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Mariinka direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 12 enemy attacks in the Donetsk region's Krasnohorivka, Mariinka, and Novomykhailivka districts. About ten settlements of the Donetsk region came under the artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers, among them Krasnohorivka, Georgiivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka.
The enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions in the Shakhtarsk direction. They shelled about ten settlements with artillery and mortars, in particular, Vodyane, Bogoyavlenka, Prechystivka, Blagodatne, and Staromayorske of the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to restore the lost position two times in the Robotyne area of the Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 settlements, including Poltavka, Gulyaipole, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Shcherbaki, and Kamianske of the Zaporizhzhia region, were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the Beryslav and Kozatske settlements of the Kherson region. Kherson, Dudchany, Lvove, Mykilske of the Kherson region and Dmytrivka and Ochakiv of the Mykolaiv region were hit by artillery fire.
New successes of the AFU in the war against the Russian army

During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces made 13 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment and 3 - on the enemy's missile systems.
Units of the missile forces hit the control post, five air defense systems, nine artillery units and the enemy's electronic warfare station.
