What is happening in different parts of the front
Operational information as of 6:00 p.m. 03/03/2024 regarding the Russian invasion was provided by the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
During the day, 68 combat clashes took place.
In total, the enemy carried out 5 missile and 44 air strikes, carried out 54 attacks from rocket salvo systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas.
On the Volyn and Poliske directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.
On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Lisne, Rozhkovichi, Druzhba, Bobylivka, Kiyanitsa of the Sumy Region and Vovchansk, Velikiy Burluk of the Kharkiv Region. More than 30 settlements were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Kupyan direction , the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders 9 times in the areas of Sinkivka and Tabaivka settlements of the Kharkiv region. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Nadiya and Tverdokhlibovo settlements of Luhansk region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the direction of Lyman, our soldiers repelled 3 enemy attacks in Terna and Verkhnokamianske settlements of Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defense of our troops. The enemy carried out an airstrike in the area of the settlement of Bilogorivka, Luhansk region. About 15 settlements were affected by artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Bakhmut direction, the defense forces repelled 4 enemy attacks in the Bohdanivka, Ivanovske and Andriivka settlements of the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to improve their tactical position. The enemy carried out an airstrike in the area of Druzhba settlement of Donetsk region. Also, more than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Avdiivsk direction, our defenders repelled 18 enemy attacks in the areas of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, Nevelske settlements of the Donetsk region. He carried out airstrikes in the Pokrovsk and Novobakhmutivka settlements of the Donetsk region. About 15 settlements were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks.
On the Novopavlivskyi direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the Krasnohorivka, Georgiivka, and Novomykhailivka districts of the Donetsk region, where, with the support of aviation, the enemy tried to break through the defenses of our troops 27 times. He carried out airstrikes in the areas of Kurakhove, Vodyane, Vugledar and Urozhane settlements of the Donetsk region. More than 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.
The enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations in the Orichiv direction . Instead, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of settlements of Staromayorske in the Donetsk region, Verkhnya Tersa and Robotina in the Zaporizhzhia region. About 20 settlements were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.
In the zone of responsibility of the "Odesa" anti-aircraft missile defense system in the Kherson direction, the enemy does not give up its intention to knock out our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper. The enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. The city of Kherson was subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
