Russian occupying troops once again shelled the Kharkiv region. This time, the villages of Morokhovets and Podoly and the city of Kupiansk were attacked.

As the investigators found out, on the evening of Wednesday, January 3, the Russian military shelled the village of Morokhovets of the Lypetsk territorial community. As a result of the Russian attack, a 73-year-old man was fatally wounded. Another woman was injured.
Also, yesterday evening, the enemy shelled the Kupiansk district with artillery. Residential and commercial buildings in Kupiansk and the village of Podoly were damaged.
Mass shelling of Ukraine on January 2
On January 2, the Russian occupiers repeated the large-scale shelling, as on December 29. Initially, the Russians launched 35 kamikaze drones, all shot down. After that, 99 missiles of various types were fired over Ukraine.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, reported that the air defense forces shot down 72 missiles, including all 10 "Kinzhals". The main targets of the enemy were Kyiv and Kharkiv. Three rocket hits were recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv.
