Yesterday, on December 23, a grenade exploded in an apartment of a multi-storey building in Kremenchuk, Poltava Region. One of the residents was hospitalized.

The explosion was reported to the Kremenchuk District Police Department by local residents. The resident of the apartment, born in 1968, was hospitalized from the scene of the incident for examination at the hospital. During the preliminary investigation, it was established that an ammunition exploded in the apartment, the press service writes.
Another resident was in the apartment at the time of the explosion, but she was not injured.
The Kremenchuk district police department chief, Oleksandr Kholondovych, said that according to one of the versions, the ammunition could explode due to careless handling.

Criminal proceedings have been opened under Chapter 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives).
