In St. Petersburg, on the territory of the Russian Federation, on Sunday, March 10, a series of powerful explosions rang out near Pulkovo airport, after which a large-scale fire broke out.

What is known about the explosions in St. Petersburg

According to Russian Telegram channels, a large-scale fire is raging near the airport.

Kremlin-controlled Telegram channels report that the fire is raging on the territory of the production base.

Videos showing the extent of the fire have appeared online. A column of thick black smoke rose into the sky. Locals complain about the acrid smell.

This building is located at 4 Volkhonske Shosse in the territory of the Gorelovo industrial zone.

Russian media also reported that two people were allegedly injured during a huge fire at the industrial building. According to preliminary data, the fire covered more than 1,000 square meters of territory, and the roof and walls partially collapsed in the hangar.

The Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation also noted that the people injured as a result of the fire have already allegedly been hospitalized. Currently, it is not known for certain whether the Russians had problems with air connections due to the fire near Pulkovo airport.

Russian propagandists also did not report anything about flight delays or cancellations.

What is known about other incidents on the territory of the Russian Federation

On the night of March 10, the authorities of the Russian city of Kursk announced that a fire broke out at an oil depot after a drone attack.

According to the governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, an air defense system was allegedly operating in Kursk, and a "Ukrainian drone" "fell and caught fire" on the territory of the oil depot.

The mass media also write that a powerful fire broke out on a gas pipeline near the village of Lykhma in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District. Flames from the fire and a column of smoke could be seen several kilometers away.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced a drone attack in the Belgorod region on March 10. The Russian side traditionally accuses Ukraine of drone attacks.
