The first ship "Rubimar" sank in the Red Sea as a result of an attack by Iran-backed Yemeni Houthi fighters.

What is known about the sinking of the ship "Rubimar" by the Houthis

It is noted that the Houthis attacked the cargo ship "Rubimar", which was transporting more than 40 tons of fertilizers, on February 18.

Due to the damage, the ship drifted uncontrollably in the Red Sea and then sank.

The ship's crew managed to evacuate.

It is noted that the fertilizers carried by the ship, as well as the fuel leak, can cause an environmental disaster.

In particular, an oil slick with a length of one kilometer was formed around the ship.

It is known that the ship sailed under the flag of Great Britain.

What is known about the war of the Houthis against the USA and Israel in the Red Sea

Iran-backed Yemeni Houthis are bracing for a prolonged standoff with the United States in the Red Sea, regardless of how Israel's war against Hamas terrorists plays out.

The Houthis are building up their own military and defense capabilities to continue attacking ships that pass through important trade routes in the Red Sea.

In particular, according to the sources, the Yemeni terrorist groups, with the support of Iran, are strengthening the protection of shelters from which missiles are launched, as well as conducting tests of surface and underwater drones.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia, which borders Yemen and has been at war with the Houthis for most of the past decade, is particularly concerned that the Houthis could damage key Internet cables that run along the seabed.

Journalists of the publication note that there is currently no evidence of a similar plan by the Yemeni Houthis.
