"A terrorist state". Erdogan distinguished himself with a new sharp criticism of Israel

Erdoğan

Erdoğan issued a new batch of geopolitical revelations regarding Israel and Hamas in a speech to his fellow party members.

Erdogan once again criticized Israel

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticized Israel, calling it a "terrorist state," and said Israel wants to destroy Gaza along with all its residents.

Israel is implementing a strategy of total destruction of the city and its inhabitants... I openly declare that Israel is a terrorist state.

In a speech to members of his party, Erdogan said his country would take steps to bring Israel's political and military leaders before international courts.

The Turkish leader also called Hamas terrorists "resistance fighters" who are trying to protect their lands and people.

Erdogan has criticized Israel's war against Hamas, which was launched after the terror group carried out a bloody massacre in southern Israel on October 7 that killed around 1,200 people, mostly civilians.

Before Erdogan came to power, Israel was a longtime regional ally of Turkey. Still, ties were severed after Israeli special forces raided the Gaza-bound Mavi Marmara as part of a blockade-breaking flotilla in 2010, resulting in the deaths of 10 Turkish activists who attacked IDF soldiers on board the ship.

In the following years, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Erdogan repeatedly exchanged accusations of genocide.

Later, relations improved somewhat, but both countries recalled their ambassadors in 2018.

Erdogan again lashed out with accusations against Netanyahu

From now on, we have deleted it. I will make a decision on this issue during the discussions that will take place within the framework of the summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the President of Turkey said.

He also drew attention to the fact that it will never be possible to finally sever all ties between Ankara and Tel Aviv, especially regarding international diplomacy.

In addition, Erdogan once again complained that Netanyahu's actions "do not correspond to the commandments that he mentions."

The Turkish president claims that Netanyahu allegedly provoked the reaction of the Israeli people and lost the support of his citizens.

He wants to secure support for his mass killings by quoting the Torah and using religious terms. What this person is doing is purely a PR campaign, a populist approach, the Turkish leader cynically declares.
