The social network Bluesky, created by ex-co-owner of Twitter Jack Dorsey, has launched a public web version more than half a year after opening to the general public.

What is known about the launch of the Bluesky social network

From its launch until now, Bluesky has remained an invite-only program. However, as of this week, a publicly available web view has appeared.

So now, users don't need to log in to view posts on Bluesky.

You can easily view Bluesky posts without logging in. Sharing will be easier, whether it's a joke you want to send to friends or a post you want to embed in an article, Bluesky's blog says.

Simultaneously with this update, a new function appeared in the settings of platform users, which allows you to limit the viewing of posts by those who have not been authorized.

If you do not want your Bluesky profile to be readily available for public viewing, you may opt-out by following these steps: update the Bluesky app to the latest version 1.60 in the App or Play Store; click Moderation in the menu on the left; enable visibility of those who are logged out, Bluesky said.

In addition, the social network has changed its logo — now, instead of an image of the sky, users are greeted by a minimalist icon with a butterfly.

Innovation of Twitter

Recently, many innovations have appeared in the social network Twitter (now X). Yes, the developers decided to remove the possibility of blocking users. When precisely this will happen is currently unknown.

At the same time, Twitter will allow you to hide your likes, but the function will be available only to paid users.

The social network owner Elon Musk called artificial intelligence a real threat to the modern world. But recently, it became known that he will launch his own ChatGPT on Twitter.

In addition, Elon Musk's X platform plans to introduce paid access from all new users worldwide. Currently, the company is already testing this system.

The test program was named "Not a Bot". New users in New Zealand and the Philippines must pay an annual fee of $1 to post and comment on X.

The innovation will affect only new accounts. Also, a user can buy a premium X subscription for $3.99 per month and won't need to pay an additional $1.

New users who opt out of the premium account and annual subscription cannot post; they only read posts, watch videos, and follow other people.

Company X aims to "strengthen our already successful efforts to reduce spam, manipulation of our platform and bot activity, and balance platform accessibility with a small fee."
