During a press conference in the US, the head of the Ukrainian state, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, categorically rejected the idea of concessions on Ukrainian lands for the sake of peace, as he considered this proposal to be absolute madness.

Ukraine will never accept the scenario of territorial concessions by Russia

The Ukrainian leader made such a clear statement during a joint press conference in Washington following a closed meeting with the head of the White House, Joe Biden.

One of the journalists asked the president of Ukraine whether he was ready to give up part of the territories for the sake of peace with Russia and an end to the war.

As Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted, he does not know who is talking about this, but he has a counter question to the author of this question: "Are you ready to give your children into the hands of terrorists?"

This is absolute madness. We often mention God, and that is definitely not Christian. Our people, families and children live there. And all this is a part of Ukrainian society. We are talking about living people, they are mocked, raped, killed. And we know it very well. The question is not only in the land, the question is in living people, their destinies. The problem lies with these families, their children, Volodymyr Zelenskyy explained.

What did Biden talk about during the meeting with Zelenskyy

According to the head of the White House, he, his administration and the entire American people want Ukraine to come out as the absolute winner of this war.

We want Ukraine to win the war and, as stated in the UN charter, to protect its sovereignty.

The American leader drew attention to the fact that there is still strong bipartisan support for Ukraine.

The US president admitted that a few Republicans do not want to support Kyiv but are not the majority.

We are in negotiations for funding, I am not making any promises, but we are very hopeful that these will be productive negotiations.
