According to Oleksandr Shtupun, spokesman for the press centre of the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction, during the day, about ten soldiers of the criminal army of the Russian Federation surrendered.
In three days, 30 invaders were captured. And in a month — more than 100 such people, Shtupun emphasised.
He added that this is how enemy soldiers try to survive.
What is known about the situation in the Kupiansk region
According to Volodymyr Fityo, head of the Ukrainian Ground Forces Command press service, the Ukrainian military is monitoring the Kupiansk region of Kharkiv Oblast.
We see that the enemy does not have any important successes in the Kupiansk direction. Our defenders are in active defense, try to improve their tactical position at the best opportunity, go to offensive actions. And there are no successes. Therefore, Kharkiv residents can be calm for now. The reports of the foreign media about the attack on Kharkiv are the intentions of the enemy, we ourselves understand, this includes Kharkiv, Poltava, Kyiv, all of Ukraine. But currently there are no alarming "bells" for Kharkiv residents, Fityo emphasised.
He says the number of troops on the border and in the Kupyan direction does not change.
Fityo reminded that the occupiers had been attacking in this direction since October, and the Ukrainian Defense Forces saw their preparations and were preparing for it, "taking symmetrical measures." In particular, reserves were raised, and engineering structures were strengthened.
Now we can see that the enemy is trying to find a weakness in the defense along the entire line of responsibility of the OSTG "Khortytsia". And the emphasis shifts.
