Destruction of the Russian ship Novocherkassk: the first details and video

Opposition Russian Telegram channels were the first to report large-scale explosions in Feodosia.

Later, they wrote that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had struck the enemy's Novocherkassk landing ship and published a video.

Around 4 am, the commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, made an official statement on the matter, confirming that our military had blown up the Novocherkassk ship in occupied Feodosia.

And the Russian Navy is getting smaller and smaller! This time, the large amphibious assault ship Novocherkassk follows the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the cruiser Moskva. We thank the Air Force pilots and everyone involved for their fine work! — Mykola Oleshchuk commented and published a video.

According to the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the strike was carried out around 2:30 am on 26 December by tactical aircraft of the Air Force.

Our soldiers attacked the enemy target with cruise missiles.

Some military experts suggest that the vessel was carrying Shahed drones, which the Russians planned to use to attack Ukraine, but there is no official confirmation of this information yet.
