The Armed Forces of Ukraine had been preparing for the battles in the Horlivka area for months, realising that the enemy's equipment could turn in their direction.

Russia's army may begin an offensive near Horlivka

After the capture of Avdiivka, the Russian military could move its military equipment and troops toward Horlivka to stabilise the front and balance the situation. The serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yevhen Ievlev, stated this.

We are holding a defensive line in the direction of Horlivka. Everyone knows the situation that our soldiers left Avdiivka for more profitable areas, said the officer.

According to his statement, the AFU remains at the highest level of combat readiness because a potential adversary can mobilise and deploy its military equipment against them.

Our unit, as far as it can, reaches out and works with drones on the equipment and personnel of the enemy. So far, no movement of invaders in our direction is visible. However, we are in constant combat readiness because the equipment that the enemy has pulled up can turn around and attack us at any time, - said the AFU speaker.

AFU is ready for the offensive of the occupying army

He emphasised that the Ukrainian armed forces had been preparing for defence in the Horlivka direction for several months, aware of the potential threat of deployment of enemy equipment in their direction.

We are prepared. There is a certain area that the enemy will have to pass and place their equipment and personnel. If you look at the map, it will be logical that the enemy after Avdiyvka will press on our area little by little, because he needs to level the front line, commented Ievlev.
