According to Natalia Humenyuk, head of the United Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, the installation of the Ukrainian flag in the village of Krynky on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region is essential for both the military and civilian Ukrainians living in the area.

What is known about the installation of the Ukrainian flag in Krynky

The installation of the Ukrainian flag in Krynky is a gesture in response to the challenges created by hostile propaganda in the information society, Humenyuk noted.

She emphasised that Russian war criminals are trying to convince residents that Ukraine has allegedly abandoned them and Ukrainian soldiers have been completely knocked out of their positions.

Humenyuk noted that despite all the Kremlin's propaganda efforts, everyone saw that the Ukrainian flag remains on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region.

She added that the assaults carried out by Russian war criminals during the past day were unsuccessful.

The OSTG "Odesa" spokeswoman noted that the Ukrainian military maintains and expands the bridgehead on the Kherson region's left bank of the Dnipro River.

Our fighters needed to set up the flag in Krynyk in order to realize that we cannot be knocked out of there. And also to the peaceful population of the left bank, so that they feel that Ukraine is nearby, — Humenyuk explained.

What is known about the situation in the southern direction

According to the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine representatives, the Ukrainian military eliminated about 50 Kremlin invaders in 24 hours.

For its part, the enemy does not stop conducting aerial reconnaissance and artillery strikes and also carries out drone attacks.

During the day, the Russian occupiers used 32 FPV drones, the Lancet combat UAV, and also carried out 29 attacks by dropping explosives from other types of drones.

As a result of the dropping of explosive ammunition, two civilians were injured, and a private house and a car were damaged.

During the day, Russian war criminals shelled Kherson 9 times with artillery.

Tokarivka, Novoberislav, Berislav, Chornobayivka, and Bilozerka in Kherson region, the waters of Ochakiv and the territory of Kutsurub communities in Mykolaiv Oblast were also under enemy fire.

A civilian was killed, and three others were injured during the artillery shelling. An enterprise, a garage cooperative, a poultry farm, an agricultural enterprise, about ten private houses, and two civilian cars were damaged.

According to confirmed data, as a result of the morning missile and drone enemy attack on Mykolaiv, six people were injured, one person died in the hospital from serious wounds. Three private houses were completely destroyed, and more than 70 were significantly damaged. The post office and the carpentry workshop were also affected. Firefighters put out the fire at the infrastructure facility, the military said in a publication.

At the same time, on the left bank of the Dnipro, counter-battery fighting and repelling enemy assaults on the bridgeheads continues. In particular, during the past day, the enemy twice attempted assaults but retreated with losses.

The defense forces are inflicting fire damage on enemy locations, firing positions and rears. Over the past day, we received confirmation that there were 50 less occupiers on the left bank, four artillery guns, a mortar, a Murom video surveillance system, and seven units of armoured personnel vehicles. The field stockpile of fuel and lubricants was destroyed, the message states.
