AFU speaker warns Russia's army is preparing a large-scale offensive in southern Ukraine

Russian army

The Russian invaders concentrated more on the Orihiv direction of the grouping than on the Avdiivka direction. The Armed Forces of Ukraine predict an enemy offensive on this part of the front.

Where may a new offensive of the Russian army take place

The spokesman of the operational-strategic task group (OSTG) "Tavria", Dmytro Lykhovii, told about the situation at the front.

He announced the forecast that soon the enemy would try to gain success in the direction of the de-occupied village of Robotyne.

The enemy group, which has been concentrated in the Orihiv direction (Zaporizhzhia region — ed.) over the past few days or weeks, it is larger in terms of personnel than the group that is currently active in the Avdiivka direction. It is obvious that Muscovites did not go there for a walk, — said Dmytro Lykhovii.

He also drew attention to the settlement of Robotyne.

It is important to understand that the Robotyne Promontory, south of Orihiv, is de-occupied territory in the summer.

It seems that the Russians have set themselves the task of achieving certain successes there with assault actions, just as they now want to achieve them in Avdiivka, — believes the OSTG "Tavria"spokesman.

What is happening in the Avdiivka area

The situation in the city is quite difficult, so the Ukrainian military command decided to redeploy the 3rd AFU Assault Brigade there to strengthen our defenders.

On this part of the front, the Russian army continues the active rotation of its troops and transfers new forces and means to the city.

During the period of stay in the Avdiivka region, two brigades of the Russian armed forces were critically damaged. The exact losses of the enemy in terms of personnel and equipment will be reported later, after confirmation of the necessary data, the 3rd AFU Assault Brigade reports.
