AFU spokesman: Russia's massive missile strikes are hard to predict

Missile attack of the Russian army

According to Yuriy Ihnat, the spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it is impossible to accurately predict the time of a massive missile strike by the criminal army of Russia on Ukraine.

How Air Force of Ukraine are preparing for Russia’s massive missile attacks

Ihnat explained that the decision to launch missile strikes on Ukraine is made by the command of the Russian occupation army immediately before the attacks begin.

There are relevant services, there is intelligence that may have some information about preparations for an attack. It is impossible to calculate this. The fact that questions are always asked on the air, and then some things are taken out of context, "deadlines" are already being set... Someone says four days... Well, how can we know when the enemy is planning? — Ihnat notes.

The Ukrainian air defence forces spokesman added that Russian war criminals can plan specific attacks, for example, on Kyiv or Odesa on a certain day, and then abruptly cancel everything for some reason.

Everything will be done in accordance with the tasks set by the enemy and the situation that is created taking into account various factors. Especially the intelligence that the enemy has, weather conditions, etc. Here, the decision is made the day before. Therefore, there is no need to calculate any dates, Ihnat emphasises.

He advised us to always remain vigilant, as the Russian occupiers could launch massive attacks any day.

Of course, we can make predictions. Of course, it takes some time to prepare for a massive shelling, but let's not set any clear deadlines or be tied to specific dates. As we can see, the enemy does not always observe its sacred dates, our dates, but strikes in a way that is unexpected for us, advises Ihnat.

What is known about enemy's tactics of using UAVs during attacks on Ukraine

The spokesperson for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes that the occupying army of Russia is constantly attacking Ukraine with unmanned aerial vehicles to keep Ukrainians in constant tension.

Basically, the enemy launches Shahed drones every night. Mainly to keep the country in suspense, to raise the air alarm, and, accordingly, some other tasks are performed by UAVs. It's not just that they are allowed to fly and that's it. Each UAV flies to its target, which it wants to hit, which it has been assigned. And they work like that for quite a long time, Ihnat explains.

According to him, the criminal army of Russia continues to terrorise the population of Ukraine with drone attacks.

87 UAVs and about 100 missiles were shot down during Russia's attack on December 29, said Ihnat
