AFU Artillery

According to Ilya Yevlash, the OSTG "Khortytsia" in the Bakhmut region of Donetsk region, the occupying Russian army's essential task is to advance towards Chasiv Yar.

What is known about the situation in the Bakhmut area and the attempts of the occupiers to advance to Chasiv Yar

This is now the main point where the enemy is directing all of its attention and trying to move forward, Yevlash notes.

He emphasised that the Ukrainian military resists the enemy's attempts to advance towards Chasiv Yar.

In the area of Chasiv Yar, several defensive circles with long-term defensive structures, so-called pillboxes, were erected. In addition, anti-tank and anti-personnel minefields have been erected in dangerous directions where the enemy may advance. Barbed wire and "dragon's teeth" have been thrown, and "hedgehogs" are standing in the most dangerous directions, Yevlash explains.

The OSTG "Khortytsia" spokesman emphasised that the Russian occupiers were very actively using all available weapons and their reserves near the settlement of Terny, in the area of the Chornyi Zherebets River.

He also added that the enemy is conducting an offensive in the Bakhmut region, near the settlements of Ivanivske and Bohdanivka.

In particular, the hostilities in Bohdanivka are taking place within the city limits.

However, as Yevlash emphasised, the enemy is actively withdrawing reserves and heavy equipment and attacking with drones.

At the same time, the Ukrainian military resolutely repels waves of enemy attacks, destroying the offensive potential of the occupiers.

What is known about the situation in the Kupiansk direction

Yevlash emphasised that the enemy was trying to reach the barrier line in the Synkivka region of the Kharkiv region.

The enemy's main target remains Kupiansk. The enemy is not sparing its reserves, personnel, equipment and ammunition there, trying to find a weak point and break through our defense, — notes the OSTG "Khortytsia" spokesman.

Yevlash reported that Russia has concentrated 122,500 personnel in the Lymano-Kupian direction, but this number has been maintained since the fall of last year.

The enemy constantly replenishes its previously lost forces with new reserves, and it takes anywhere from three to seven days to restore the battalion. That is, the intensity is very crazy, the enemy continues to intensify and tries to increase the level of hostilities before the so-called elections in Russia, because they need to report, demonstrate their so-called "victory". Our fighters are restraining the opponents, — emphasised the OSTG "Khortytsia" spokesman.
