Air defence forces destroyed 11 out of 17 Shahed attack drones, which the Russians used to attack Ukraine on the night of February 8.
The Air Force announced the results of its work during Russia's attack
In total, on the night of February 8, the interventionists launched 17 barrage munitions for the task of air attack.
The enemy launched "Shahed-136/131" combat drones from Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea.
The Air Force noted that as a result of combat work, 11 enemy drones were destroyed within four regions, namely:
Mykolaivska,
Odesa,
Vinnytsia,
Dnipropetrovsk region.
Consequences of the night attack of the Russian Federation on Ukraine
On the evening of Wednesday, February 7 and on the night of Thursday, February 8, an air alert was announced in several regions of Ukraine due to another Russian air attack using Shahed drones.
Forces and means of air defence were working in different regions to repulse the enemy's drone attack.
Thus, in the Kryvorizkyi district of the Dnipropetrovsk region, air defence forces shot down a Russian Shahed kamikaze drone.
Later at night, it became known about several explosions in Odesa, where the work of air defense continued. In addition, there were also explosions in Mykolaiv.
Later, the authorities spoke about the consequences of the invaders' drone strikes on these two cities.
According to Oleg Kiper, the head of Odesa RMA, in Odesa, an uncompleted high-rise building was damaged by an enemy drone strike and damage to an educational institution was recorded. There are no casualties.
And in Mykolaiv, as a result of the "Shakhed" attack, the private sector was hit and a fire broke out, the mayor of the city Oleksandr Sienkevych said. There were also no casualties.
