Air Defence forces shot down over 40+ enemy "Shaheds" over Ukraine overnight

On the evening of December 13 and the night of December 14, the Russians launched 42 Shahed attack drones over Ukraine. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down 41 drones.

The Air Force announced the results of its work

According to the military, the Russian occupying forces fired 6 S-300 anti-aircraft missiles in the direction of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions around midnight.

The Russians also attacked Ukraine with Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones. Launches were carried out in waves from three directions: Balaklava, Cape Chauda — Crimea and Primorsko-Akhtarsk — Russian Federation. In total, 42 enemy drones were launched.

The main direction of the attack was the Odesa region.

That night, the defenders of the sky managed to shoot down 41 out of 42 kamikaze drones. The vast majority is in the Odesa region, the Air Force said in a statement.

What is known about the Russian night attack

On the night of December 14, the Russian Federation attacked the Odesa region. As a result, a car and an outbuilding caught fire.

Eleven adjacent buildings were damaged. Also, 11 people were injured, including three children.

A mobile heating station has been set up on-site, psychologists from the State Emergency Service are working with the victims and residents, and the Red Cross is organising food delivery and warm items.

Eight units of equipment and 30 rescuers from the State Emergency Service were involved.

Russia also attacked Ukraine with attack drones and missiles on the night of December 13. A fire broke out in the Odesa region due to the fall of fragments of downed air defence kamikaze drones. Two civilians were injured as a result of the attack. One of the injured men later died in hospital.
