The head of the Kirovograd Regional Military Administration (RMA), Andrii Raikovych, said another enemy missile attack did not miss the Kirovohrad region.

The defenders of the sky have done their work, the RMA head wrote.

Raykovych added that initially, there had been no destruction and no casualties.

Shelling of Ukraine

Russia regularly bombards populated areas in various regions of Ukraine with artillery and aviation and also fires missiles.

Today, it was reported that in Kherson, the movement of trolleybuses on route No. 1 was temporarily stopped due to shelling by the Russians.

Yesterday, the Russian army struck the New York settlement in the Donetsk region. The entrance of a high-rise building collapsed, and people were injured.

Russia's army unsuccessfully tries to break through the Ukrainian air defence.

As ISW notes with a reference to a Russian blogger, Russian forces have recently struck Ukraine using various types of missiles, including hypersonic Kh-47 "Kinzhal" ballistic missiles.

The blogger also claims that Russian forces launched unspecified aerial decoys and Shahed drones to bypass Ukrainian air defence systems so that Russian troops could launch successful missile strikes.

At the same time, ISW experts observed Russian forces experimenting with various combinations of drone and missile strikes in an attempt to penetrate Ukrainian air defence systems as Ukrainian forces adapted to Russian strike patterns.

Russia may be increasing its efforts to obtain ballistic missiles from abroad, because under some circumstances, this type of missile may be more successful in hitting targets in Ukraine, the analysis says.

On January 14, Ukraine's Air Force spokesman, Colonel Yuriy Ignat, said that the sanctions would probably worsen the quality of Russian missiles. This could further hamper Russia's ability to launch a successful series of strikes against Ukraine.
