Air defence forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down all Shahed-type kamikaze drones which the Russians used to attack Ukraine on the night of December 15.
The Air Force announced the results of its work
According to the military, in total, the enemy launched one S-300-type missile and 14 kamikaze drones in the direction of different regions of Ukraine.
At night, the Russian invaders once again attacked Ukraine, using the S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile and 14 Shahed-136/131 type kamikaze drones. All drones were destroyed by the forces and means of air defense, the message of the AFU General Staff said.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine added that the drones were launched from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk region of the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation.
All enemy drones were shot down by mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine within Mykolaiv, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi and Poltava regions.
The night attack of the Russians on the night of December 15
On the evening of November 14, the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force reported the launch of several groups of "Shahed" in the direction of the central and western regions, most of them flying in the direction of the Khmelnytskyy region. Soon, the work of Ukrainian air defence forces was reported in the same area. Residents of Kharkiv were also warned about the missile threat at night. A loud explosion was also heard in the city.
On December 14, a large-scale alarm was announced several times throughout Ukraine due to the take-off of MiG-31K fighter aircraft, which can carry Kinzhal missiles.
The occupiers used such rockets to attack Ukraine — during the alarm, explosions rang out in Kyiv and Khmelnytskyi regions.
Later, it became known that an aerial target was shot down in the Kyiv region, and there were landings in the Khmelnytskyy region.
