On January 28, Russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with "Shaheds" and ballistics. Air defence forces destroyed four attack drones.

The Air Force reported the results of its work

As noted, on the night of January 28, the enemy attacked with eight Shahed-136/131 type kamikaze drones from the southeastern direction (Primorsko-Okhtarsk of the Russian Federation), two Iskander-M missiles in the Poltava region from the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation, and three S-300 missiles in the Donetsk region with the temporarily occupied territory of the region.

It is emphasised that the enemy attacked civilian objects and objects of critical infrastructure in the Poltava, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Mobile fire groups of the Air Force destroyed four out of eight enemy UAVs, which the enemy used to attack the front-line zone.

The PS adds that, according to preliminary data, there were no casualties as a result of the ballistic strike.

The night attack of the Russian Federation on Ukraine on January 27

On January 27, explosions were heard in Kremenchuk and Poltava, an air alert was announced in several regions, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force warned of the threat of using ballistics.

Later, Poltava RMA reported that the Russian military shelled the Kremenchuk district, and as a result of the attack, an industrial facility was hit. After the impact, a fire also broke out at the site of the explosions. Later, the Poltava RMA showed photos of the consequences of the enemy attack on the region.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned residents of the eastern and central regions about the threat of using "Shaheds".
