Air Force announced the total number of Russian missiles launched on Ukraine

Missiles

Due to the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine from February 24, 2022, 7,500 missiles of all types were fired at our country. These are aviation missiles, S-300 anti-aircraft missiles, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, etc.

The Russian Federation launched 7,500 missiles over Ukraine

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russian forces have launched more than 7,500 missiles into Ukraine.

The Air Force spokesman, Yuriy Ignat, said on air of a United News telethon.

We have more than 7,500 missiles of all types (launched — ed.) in Ukraine for a full-scale invasion. These are of all types — aviation missiles, S-300 anti-aircraft missiles, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles — such a number have been launched, Ignat said.

He noted that it is impossible to shoot down all enemy missiles.

We started to shoot down with "Patriot" [air defense system - Ed.] only in May, and then in the area where it is. We have to understand that we shoot down only cruise missiles or Kh-59, the Air Force spokesman said.

How many kamikaze drones has Russia launched over Ukraine since September 2022

If we update the information, about 3,800 kamikaze drones have been launched on the territory of our country since September of last year, when they started using (Russians, - ed.) kamikaze drones, the spokesman said.

He noted that the Ukrainian military managed to shoot down about 3,000 kamikaze drones.

Ignat emphasised that Western weapons strengthened Ukrainian air defense, but more modern means were needed.

About 3,000 thousand of these drones were destroyed by the Defense Forces. There is something to think about. We still need more systems that will work against kamikaze drones, he added.
