The defence forces destroyed four enemy kamikaze drones of the Shahed type, which Russia launched over Ukraine on the night of Friday, Mar. 1.
The Air Force discloses the details of the Russian attack on Ukraine
On the night of Mar. 1, the enemy attacked with 5 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the occupied Donetsk region and Belgorod region of the Russian Federation and four combat drones UAVs of the "Shahed" type (from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk regions of the Russian Federation).
As a result of anti-aircraft combat, mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces destroyed 4 "Shaheds" within the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
What is known about the destruction of Russian aircraft
On Feb. 29, the Armed Forces destroyed a Russian Su-34 fighter. It became the eleventh aircraft lost by the invaders since Feb. 17. That day, the Air Force destroyed three Russian aircraft — two Su-34s and a Su-35. They were also shot down on the eastern front.
Literally on Feb.27 and 26, it became known about the downing of two more Su-34s. In addition, on Feb. 23, the Defence Forces reported that a Russian A-50 aircraft was shot down over the Sea of Azov. This is the second A-50 destroyed by the Armed Forces since the beginning of the war.
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Armed Forces shot down 340 planes of the occupiers.
