Air Force downs another Russian Su-34 aircraft

Ukrainian military shot down another Russian Su-34 aircraft in the east. It became the eleventh in February.

Air Force informs about another downed Russian Su-34

The Air Force commander Mykola Oleschuk reported that Feb. 29 is a date that occurs once every four years. Still, it is already a familiar day for Russians with the loss of another plane.

How many Russian planes were shot down by Ukraine

In recent days, the Armed Forces destroyed 11 Russian planes, including this one. Literally on February 27, it became known about the downing of the same Russian Su-34.

On Feb. 23, the Defense Forces reported that a Russian A-50 aircraft was shot down over the Sea of Azov. This is the second A-50 destroyed by AFU since the beginning of the war.

On Feb. 21, the Su-34 was shot down. In addition, on Feb. 19, the Armed Forces shot down two more Russian planes in the east. According to the AFU Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, these planes carried out anti-aircraft missile strikes against the positions of Ukrainian forces. On Feb.18, the Armed Forces of Ukraine downed a Russian Su-34 aircraft in the east.

On Feb. 17, the Air Force destroyed three Russian aircraft — two Su-34s and a Su-35 fighter. They were also shot down on the eastern front.

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Armed Forces shot down 340 planes of the occupiers.
