He added that the debris allegedly damaged a commercial building and several cars.

Explosions in Russia

On 30 December 2023, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked military facilities in the Russian city of Belgorod. The city's civilian infrastructure was destroyed due to ineffective Russian air defence.

The Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate reported that the attack on Belgorod decreased the number of officers of the local Investigative Committee of Russia. As a result of the terrorist attack on 30 December, the 27-year-old Russian Senior Lieutenant, Mikhail Konopitsyn, was killed.

On 2 January, a missile fell in the Russian village of Petropavlovka in the Voronezh Oblast region during a massive attack on Ukraine. The village of Petropavlovka is located 150 kilometres from the border with Ukraine.

The governor of the region confirmed the information about the "emergency landing of ammunition".
