On the eve of the second winter since the beginning of the criminal invasion of the Russian army into Ukraine, the desire to escape from the front is growing among the soldiers of the occupying military of the Russian Federation.

What is known about the increase in the number of people wanting to flee the war in the Russian army

As the journalists of the publication note concerning the intercepted conversations of the Russian military with their relatives, the number of people who want to escape from the war is increasing in the units of the criminal army of the Russian Federation.

The calls offer a rare glimpse into the war through the eyes of Russians — a perspective rarely seen in Western media, largely because Russia has made it a crime to speak honestly about the conflict in Ukraine. They also clearly show how the war evolved: from the professional soldiers who initially secured Vladimir Putin's full-scale invasion, to men from all walks of life forced to serve in grueling conditions, the publication said.

In particular, the authors of the material checked the information about the persons whose voices are heard on the intercepted recordings.

The journalists managed to communicate not only with the native soldiers but also with individual soldiers.

In these calls, the voices of men who did not escape or could not escape from mobilization are heard. Some had no money, no education, no options. Others believed in patriotic duty, the publication says.

Mobilized for war, Russians advised their comrades to avoid mobilization

The journalists note that they inform their acquaintances mobilized for the crime of war against Ukraine to prevent mobilization in any way.

If it is impossible to avoid mobilization, signing up as a volunteer or joining the ranks of the PMC is advised.

And all because the mobilized are the most disenfranchised category of people in the Russian army, who are spent in battles without "economy," the publication says.

The command takes care of professional contract workers: they go on vacation, have the opportunity to wash their clothes and bathe properly, and are well provided with food and water. At the same time, the mobilized are in the status of livestock, to which everyone is indifferent.

It got to the point that there were puddles, it started raining, and the boys scooped up all the puddles and drank. It snowed, f***, and the snow didn't even reach the ground, the guys caught it and ate it, one of the soldiers says.

Mortality in units formed from mobilized troops often reaches 30%, as evidenced by interceptions.

Soldiers complain that it has become the norm when no one from the entire unit returns from the battle.

At the same time, it is impossible to return to Russia legally. Those who want to escape are threatened with shooting, "the pit" and court.

The publication also cites the case of one Russian soldier who was able to get a 10-day leave when one of his brothers died in a road accident at home, and the second became crippled, and there was no one to take care of him.

But once he was in Russia, the man discovered he was registered as a deserter, even though he had all the leave documents in his hands.
