What is known about the SSU drone attack consequences on the refinery in Tuapse

It is noted that this is the only Russian refinery on the Black Sea coast and one of the ten largest similar enterprises in the Russian Federation.

Due to two powerful strikes from BpLa, a large-scale fire started at the enterprise.

In particular, the primary processing plant of petroleum products was damaged, where crude oil is separated into separate fractions, from which gasoline, gas condensate, and diesel fuel are produced.

The Russians admitted that a vacuum column was burning on the territory of the refinery

According to the interlocutors of journalists of the publication, a quick recovery of the company's work is impossible.

Repair works may last until the end of February or even until the beginning of March.

The oil refinery in Tuapse is one of the oldest in Russia. It was built back in 1929.

The capacity is 12 million tons of oil annually or 240 thousand barrels daily.

It produces naphtha (motor fuel), fuel oil, vacuum gas oil and high-sulfur diesel fuel.

Exports go to Turkey, China, Malaysia and Singapore through the nearby oil transhipment.

In 2023, the plant processed 9.38 million tons of Siberian Light crude oil, producing 3.31 million tons of gas and 3.12 million tons of fuel.

What is known about the successful Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian refineries

It is emphasised that the successful attacks of Ukrainian drones helped stop the work of two powerful refineries on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Recently, the Ukrainian special services conducted a successful operation and attacked an oil refinery in Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region with drones.
