On 26 December, Armenian leader Nikol Pashinyan publicly reprimanded Russian and Belarusian dictators Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko during a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (EAEU) in Russia. He told them that the EAEU should not have a political or geopolitical agenda.

Pashinyan again publicly criticises Putin and Lukashenko

We continue... to develop interaction within the framework of our economic cooperation, seeking to prevent any attempts to politicise Eurasian integration, the Armenian Prime Minister stressed.

He also pointed out that the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and its economic principles should not be associated with political ambitions.

The fundamental freedoms of trade and integration cannot and should not be restricted for political reasons, as this will definitely lead to the corrosion of the fundamental principles of the association, Nikol Pashinyan publicly rebuked Putin and Lukashenko.

According to the politician, his country's authorities attach great importance to the signing of a declaration on the further development of economic processes until 2030 and 2045, which is "based on the conceptual and priority areas of the EAEU's medium-term and long-term development".

The conflict between Armenia and Russia continues to escalate

The main reason for the conflict between Yerevan and Moscow was Azerbaijan's lightning-fast operation to regain control of Nagorno-Karabakh.

It is well known that Putin's team did nothing to help Armenia, and Russian peacekeepers ignored the fighting in Karabakh.

After that, Nikol Pashinyan did not attend a meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Council in Minsk.

Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko called this act a "demarche".

Moreover, Pashinyan even hinted that he was considering Armenia's withdrawal from the CSTO.
