The partisans conducted surveillance of the base of the military unit of the occupiers and discovered the location of an air defence unit in the Timiryazev district of Moscow. It is about the air defence system S-400 "Triumph".

What the partisans discovered in Moscow

The partisan movement notes that the launchers deployed in 12 units, radar stations, and universal towers for them were discovered. Presumably, these are S-400 "Triumph" air defence systems.

The Russians continue to protect such valuable complexes in Moscow's deep rear while critically lacking at the front.

Apparently, they serve to cover control points of strategic importance, say the partisans.

What is known about the air defense of the occupiers in Moscow

At the end of January 2024, the Institute for the Study of War reported that the Russian Federation was retooling elements of its air defence system in the deep rear due to regular attacks by Ukrainian drones. Interruptions with 4G communication were recorded in some areas.

In particular, since last year, Russia began to actively strengthen air defense around Moscow and even installed new air defense systems.

Assessing the state of Russia's air defence system, Ukraine's Defence Intelligence said that during the war, Russia transferred air defence systems from the Far East and the Northern region to Moscow and occupied Crimea.

In addition, the invaders built a factory in Moscow, where they planned to launch the production of anti-aircraft missiles.
