Bild learned about Germany's new plan for Ukraine

Germany

As German journalists found out, they intend to include an additional 4 billion euros in Ukraine's military aid in the Federal Republic of Germany budget for the next year.

Ukraine can receive large-scale aid from Germany

According to Bild, which refers to its insiders in the Ministry of Defense of the Federal Republic of Germany, the coalition parties managed to reach such an agreement.

In addition, it is emphasized that next week the Budget Committee of the Bundestag will officially make a decision on an additional 4 billion euros of funding for Ukraine.

What is important to understand that Finance Minister Christian Lindner initially provided only four 4 billion euros for military aid to Kyiv in the federal budget 2024.

However, almost all of this money was earmarked for the already promised support projects, while only 120 million euros remained for the new aid from the German Ministry of Defense, the message says.

According to journalists, the Ministry of Defense of the Federal Republic of Germany expressed its dissatisfaction and began to demand the allocation of an additional 5 billion euros during the current budget negotiations.

As a result, it was possible to agree on adding another 4 billion euros to the budget for next year to support the Ukrainian people.

The editors of the publication draw attention to the fact that for our country this means more weapons and ammunition in the defensive war against Russia.

Moreover, it is emphasized that the Ministry of Defense of the Federal Republic of Germany will allow spending 2 billion euros as so-called appropriations for obligations regarding long-term contracts for the supply of weapons.
