On November 8, the chief of American diplomacy, Anthony Blinken, reminded of the importance of supporting Ukraine after calling on Congress to approve $11.8 billion in budget aid to Kyiv.
The US has a clear plan to help Ukraine — Blinken
The American diplomat draws attention to the fact that Russia has started a war against Ukraine and can end it at any moment by withdrawing its troops and stopping brutal attacks.
Biden's team continues the fight for aid for Ukraine
Recently, it became officially known that the head of the US Treasury Department, Janet Yellen, the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, the secretary of state, Anthony Blinken, and the director of the US Agency for International Development, Samantha Power, called on Congress to approve the allocation of $11.8 billion in budget support to Ukraine.
Moreover, American leader Joe Biden is doing everything possible to convince the US Congress to support aid to Ukraine and Israel and to approve a new $106 billion aid package, including more than $61 billion in funding for Ukraine. $11.8 billion is part of this aid package aimed at budget support.
However, as is known, the newly appointed Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, is actively pushing for the aid packages for Ukraine and Israel to be considered by Congress separately, and the "Ukrainian" box to be considered together with appropriations for border security with Mexico.
