Large companies stop advertising in X

According to media reports, Lionsgate and Warner Bros, Paramount, Sony Pictures, and Comcast/NBCUniversal will suspend advertising on X.

IBM made a similar move the night before. The New York Times said that Disney would also freeze spending on social media.

As noted, Apple's ads, which also refused to cooperate, were shown alongside tweets praising Adolf Hitler and the Nazis.

IBM, also one of X's biggest advertisers, announced the end of advertising on X on Thursday. The company decided in response to a report by the liberal watchdog Media Matters, which found that IBM and Apple ads were placed next to hateful tweets. In response, Musk called Media Matters an "evil organization."

In response to the companies' actions, Musk said that X would file a "thermonuclear" lawsuit against all organizations that opposed his social network.
