Russian troops tried to attack the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia direction with the help of FPV drones. However, Ukrainian fighters repelled the enemy attack.

It is noted that the enemy launched several waves of drones from different directions, but the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service fighters repelled the massive blow with the help of an anti-drone gun.

So, one FPV drone "stuck" on a tree, five — tore it to pieces, and two more — the border guards "downed" it, the border guards added.

What is the situation at the front?

On December 19, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Ukrainian military repulsed 21 enemy attacks in the Bakhmut direction and held occupied positions in the Kherson direction. Missile forces hit two areas of the enemy's remote mining.

The Ukrainian Ground Forces commander, Oleksandr Syrskyy, said the fiercest battles are ongoing in the Kupiansk, Lyman and Bakhmut directions. The Russian occupiers are superior both in terms of weapons and personnel.

In recent weeks, Russian troops have also stepped up kamikaze drone attacks on the territory of Ukraine.

Thus, on December 18, the occupying forces attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones of the "Shakhed" type. Air defence forces destroyed all enemy targets. The Russian military launched five UAVs from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Krasnodar region of Russia.
