British intelligence names a new problem for the Kremlin after the Ukrainian drone attacks

The Russian government will be particularly vulnerable to the prices of gasoline and other consumer goods, which will increase due to attacks by Ukrainian UAVs.

The Russian Federation will face a new problem before the elections due to Ukrainian drone attacks

It is noted that starting March 1, Russia introduced a six-month ban on gasoline exports to stabilize prices on the domestic market amid rising demand, renewing the export embargo that was in effect from September 21 to November 17, 2023.

Intelligence sources suggest that Russian oil refining capacity has been temporarily reduced due to numerous Ukrainian drone strikes on oil refineries across Russia.

The export ban should reduce supply pressure and allow Russia to repair its refineries.

At the same time, repairs are likely to take longer than usual, as Western sanctions prevent the import of some necessary components.

On January 18, drones attacked the St. Petersburg oil terminal near the Leningrad region of the Russian Federation.

Later it became known that the attack was a special operation of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense. Moreover, one of the drones flew over the estates of Russian oligarchs and the palace of dictator Vladimir Putin.

On the night of January 21, a fire broke out in the port of Ust-Luga near St. Petersburg after explosions. The fire engulfed the terminal of Novatek, Russia's largest independent producer of natural gas.

The attack on the sea terminal was a special operation of the SBU. At this facility, in particular, fuel for the occupying forces is processed.

On January 24, residents of the Russian city of Tuapse reported a fire near the local oil depot. According to eyewitnesses, explosions were heard over the city before that. Then it was noted that the cause of the fire was a drone strike.

On the night of January 30, one of the drones fell on the territory of an oil depot in Kaluga. According to the Russians, there were no casualties or damage.

On February 3, a fire broke out at the Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka oil refinery in Volgograd, Russia, as a result of a drone attack. Later it became known that the SBU was responsible for the attack on the oil refinery.
