The recent cyber attack on Kyivstar was probably one of the largest disruptive cyber attacks on Ukrainian networks since the beginning of the full-scale war.
The cyber attack on Kyivstar was the largest attack
According to intelligence, on 12 December, Ukraine's largest mobile operator, Kyivstar, suffered a cyber attack. The consequences of the hacker attack lasted for at least two days and affected the company's mobile communications and data transmission.
In particular, the cyber attack left the mobile operator's users without a signal and the ability to use the Internet. At the same time, the company assures that no personal data was compromised during the attack.
The cyber attack also disrupted the operation of air raid sirens and some banks, ATMs, and point-of-sale terminals. Meanwhile, Monobank suffered a DDoS attack that disrupted access to the bank's website.
